How to make an animated video invitation for free
Step-by-step guide to making an animated video invitation for birthdays, weddings and events — free, with photos, music and an optional voice — ready to share on WhatsApp and Instagram.

A video invitation is more fun to receive than a text message and easier to share than a printed card. It takes about fifteen minutes to make one, free, with photos, music and even your own voice. Here's how.
1. Gather the details
Write down exactly what guests need: whose event, what kind, date, start and end time, address, dress code if any, and how to RSVP by when. Missing details are the number-one reason invitations generate a dozen follow-up messages.
2. Plan five short scenes
- The hook: “You're invited!” with a photo of the guest of honour.
- The occasion: “Mia is turning 7!” or “We're getting married!”
- When: “Saturday, June 14 · 2–5 pm.”
- Where: the venue name and address.
- RSVP: who to reply to and by when.
3. Build it
Open the invitation video maker, which loads the Invitation template — already vertical (9:16) for phones, in the playful Paper Craft style. Replace each title and narration with your details and upload your photos onto the scenes. Photos land like snapshots with a strip of tape.
4. Pick the mood
- Kids' birthday: Paper Craft or Pop Motion, Playful music.
- Wedding or anniversary: Cinematic style with slow photo zooms and Calm music.
- Corporate event: Clean Studio with Corporate music.
5. Add a voice (optional)
An AI narrator can read the invitation in 49 languages, but nothing beats a personal message. Choose My voice and record each scene — it works in any language. Keep captions on so guests can read details with the sound off.
6. Export and share
Export in 9:16 at 720p — small enough to send instantly on WhatsApp, Messenger or Instagram DMs. Put the date and address in the on-screen titles, not only in the narration, so guests can pause and screenshot them. Then send it, and maybe follow up with a text containing the address for easy map links.
Ready? Open the animated video maker and start with the Invitation template.
