About Animated Video Maker
Why we built a free animated video maker that runs entirely in your browser — and how it stays free.
Animated Video Maker exists because explaining something clearly shouldn't require a budget. Teachers, small businesses, nonprofits and creators all have ideas worth animating, and most of them have been priced out by subscriptions, watermarks and per-minute voice credits.
What makes it different
Almost every online video tool renders on a server. Servers cost money for every video made, so those tools have to charge, cap or watermark. We took a different route: the entire pipeline — the drawing engine, the neural voices, the music synthesiser and the video encoder — runs inside your web browser. Your device does the work, so there is no per-video cost to pass on.
The same design makes it private. Your script, images and recordings are never uploaded. Projects are saved in your own browser storage.
Built on open technology
- Kokoro-82M (Apache-2.0) for natural English voices.
- Piper (MIT) neural voices for 48 more languages.
- WebCodecs for fast, on-device MP4 encoding.
- Our own animation engine, including the edge-tracing sketch reveal.
