How to make an intro
- Open the Channel intro template.
- Replace the rocket with your logo (a transparent PNG looks best) and type your channel name in the title — wrap one word in
*stars*to highlight it. - Pick an image animation: Pop in for a punchy logo bounce, Hand-drawn sketch to have your logo drawn live, or Circle reveal for something cleaner.
- Choose a style and music mood — Neon Night + Bright for gaming and tech, Clean Studio + Corporate for business, Paper Craft + Playful for family channels.
- Set the scene length to 3–5 seconds, turn the voice off (or keep a short spoken greeting), and export.
Keep intros short
Viewers decide whether to stay in the first few seconds, and a long intro is the quickest way to lose them. Five seconds is plenty. Many creators put a cold-open hook first and the intro after it — viewers are already invested by then.
Intros, outros and title cards
The same approach makes outros (“Thanks for watching — subscribe for more”), chapter title cards and lower-thirds-style announcements. Export each as its own MP4 and place them in your editor.
No watermark, no copyright claims
The intro is yours, with no logo but your own. The music is synthesised for your video rather than sampled, so it won't trigger Content ID claims. Make yours in the animated video maker, and see how to make a YouTube intro that people don't skip.
